Yantra Day Spa, Jodhpur

The first of its kind in Jodhpur... Yantra Day Spa

The Spa has been built with local red sandstone in the style of a modern Haveli. Stone arches and jarokas have been combined with heavy duty glass, helping to keep the noise of the streets outside and letting as much natural light inside. The interior of the building is modern and comfortable; yet designed to be functional and cater to the needs of its clients.

The main entrance welcomes people with its bright lobby area, an airy space where one can sit comfortably while awaiting one of the many treatments available to them. The wooden floor warms up the more modern feel of the stone and glass and adds a natural element to the space. A big mirrored logo adds a unique touch to the entrance and reflects an abundance of light around the room. Different sized shelving have been made to display all of the product for sale at the spa.

The men's area lies beneath the lobby; has windows all around the top of the room to let in natural light. This area is for hair cutting services but also has custom made seating for mani/pedis and facials.

The underground space in this part of the spa has been designed for water therapy treatments. Tiled tables and tubs provide the perfect surface for mud packs and body scrubs, ensuring a healthy and clean environment.

An office was created on the first floor mezzanine above the lobby area. A big glass window dominates the small space, giving the effect of a much larger area.

The upstairs areas are dedicated to beauty treatments and massage; for a more personalized service there are individual rooms each equipped with a generous sized bed, an air conditioning unit and a private bathroom and shower area. These rooms have been constructed in a manner that make them sound proof and private.

Note:  The space was designed around the existing skeleton structure; the building itself was already under construction at the time Roberto Nieddu started to work on this project.  The facade on the street side complies with the state government regulations.
